JYP Entertainment to create new boy band through audition program
JYP Entertainment has partnered up with cable TV network Mnet to produce a new idol boy group through an auditioning program. Two years ago the two companies collaborated in producing a similar audition survival show called “Sixteen," where the members of TWICE were discovered. According to JYP the new program will be different from others; contestants will be working together towards a collective debut. They will be evaluated on their personal talents, as well as their teamwork. Adding to the fun, the program will also show the trainees’ daily lives.
The show will go to air on October 17.
