Renowned DJ (and caking legend) Steve Aoki may be known for his work in the music world, but it is his 16-year-old niece who is making waves in the modelling world!

Meet Natalie Nootenboom, Steve Aoki's niece who is making waves in the fashion industry as a "plus-size" Asian model!

Born to a Japanese mother and American father, Natalie experienced bullying when she was young due to her size, telling Revelist that "'The norm for Asian girls is to be, you know, petite, cute, and skinny. But growing up, I kind of was taller, bigger, more awkward. I was the opposite of what people expected me to be, and so I really want to use my platform to say, you know what? We're all different. We can't build a mould and expect people to all fit that mould.'"

However, she didn't let that stop her and Natalie has quickly established herself as a big-name model in the fashion world. By not letting comments and stereotypes about her size get to her, Natalie has managed to break the mould and she has now made history by becoming the first Asian "plus-size" model to walk the runway for renowned fashion designer Anna Sui.

Needless to say, it's great to see Natalie fighting against adversity and stereotypes, and no one is more proud of her than her famous uncle!
