IU surprised her fans on Monday with the release of a brand new song, "Autumn Morning."

The track is lifted from the 24-year-old's upcoming second covers album, A Flower Bookmark 2, and was released to celebrate her ninth anniversary.

"Autumn Morning" was originally performed by Korean folk legend Yang Hee-eun and famed film composer Lee Byung-woo.

For the cover version, IU worked with guitarist Sungha Jung. Jung has over 4.7 million subscribers on YouTube, and has previously collaborated with G-Dragon and Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha
