The team behind 'Food Wars!' and 'Children of Whales' are on board!

A new Director and animation studio will produce the second season of One Punch Man.

According to the official website, for the animated adaptation of One Punch Man, Madhouse won’t be reprising their role animating season two and will be replaced by J.C.. J.C. are best known for producing Food Wars! and Children of Whales.

Naruto Shippuden episode Director Chikara Sakurai will direct the new season; and the first season’s composer Makoto Miyazaki, and character designer, Chikashi Kubota will reprise their roles. It’s unclear why Madhouse and Director Shingo Natsume have decided to step down from the project, but the series is expected to release sometime next year.

One Punch Man is a superhero parody anime based on One and Yusuke Murata’s webcomic turned popular shonen manga. Madhouse produced a 12 episode season in 2015.
