2017 marks the 20th anniversary since the debut of first-generation K-pop group SECHSKIES, and the boys proved that age is but a number during their recent - and awesome - 20th anniversary concert in Seoul!
Held on September 23 in front of a 10,000-strong crowd at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome, SECHSKIES kicked off their concert with a special video that featured various clips of their career highlights, including their first ever music show award win for on MBC Show! Music Core and their first ever fan meet back in 1997.
The group kicked off the concert with long-time favourites "School Byeolgok," "Armageddon," and "The Way This Guy Lives," which was the start of an incredible 3-hour set that featured a total of 25 songs, as well as an appearance from special guest WINNER. Not only were the group's performances on point, the stage design was top-notch and included some eye-catching elements such as a massive monitor that hung from the stadium's roof, as well as a number of smaller sub-stages in order to get closer to the fans.
Amongst the awesome performances and eye-catching stage design, the concert featured a notable heartwarming moment when member Ko Ji Yong, who couldn't make the concert, sent SECHSKIES a large bouquet of flowers that formed a big 20.
Towards the end of the concert, fans couldn't get enough and demanded an encore, which SECHSKIES happily obliged. As a final cherry on top of a brilliant concert, fans prepared a special anniversary event for the group in which everyone wished SECHSKIES a happy 20th anniversary.
SECHSKIES may be in their 20th year, but they proved that they can still more than hold their own against the younger generation!
