According to the Hollywood Reporter, the BET Channel is now available in South Korea as of Tuesday, September 26. Launched through a partnership with Korean pay TV operator SK Broadband, South Korea is now the first Asia market to launch BET Channel.

In a statement from BET Channel owner Viacom International Media Networks, "the introduction of the BET channel in Asia is a key step in strengthening our presence both in South Korea and in Asia, while expanding our portfolio of adult-targeted brands. It will not only add content diversity to Korean pay TV but offer top-quality general entertainment, music and news for audiences interested in urban culture."

As for what programs viewers can expect, Variety reports that the channel will offer a mix of international shows such as Being Mary Jane, The Wendy Williams Show, 50 Central, and Face Value, award shows such as BET Awards and The Hip Hop Awards, as well as local productions from South Korea.
