BTS set a personal milestone last week when they managed to earn their first ever appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with "DNA," and now the boys have one-upped that achievement by hitting a new peak and making some K-pop history in the process!
For the week ending on October 14 for the Billboard Hot 100, "DNA" has managed to jump from No.85 to a new peak of No.67. Not only does this set a new personal milestone for BTS as their best performing Billboard Hot 100 song, but "DNA" is now the highest ever charting Billboard Hot 100 song ever for a K-pop group, managing to surpass the previous benchmark of No.76 set by Wonder Girls' "Nobody" in 2009.
At the time of writing, BTS are the second K-pop act to have a Korean-language song hit the Hot 100, coming in after PSY, whose mega-hit "Gangnam Style" peaked at No.2 on the Hot 100 back in 2012.
At this rate, could BTS possibly crack the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100?
