The creator of Claymore is working on a new manga series.

According to an upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, manga creator Norihiro Yagi is developing a new series. Little is known about the project but Yagi aims to unveil the series later this year during the Japanese winter period.

It will be the first major project by Yagi since the seinen fantasy series ended in 2014. Earlier this year, Yagi produced a one-shot sci-fi fantasy manga for Weekly Shonen Jump called Moonlight Arcadia.

Claymore is a classic seinen fantasy manga about a group of hybrid female warriors fighting to protect a land from shapeshifting demons. Perfect for fans of gore and dark fantasy like Berserk and Gantz, Claymore was adapted into a TV anime in 2007 by Madhouse.
