From Hugh working hard to get into shape, in preparation to be a dad, to a few worrying moments for Nichola over the past few months, the My Korean Husband couple are now new parents! They welcomed an adorable baby boy into the world, though the final hurdle wasn't without some complications.
In a recent Instagram post, Nichola revealed that their new baby boy was born a little bit early at 34 weeks and an emergency c-section was required. Having said that though, little Yul Theodore has been monitored closely since his birth and is getting stronger by the day.
SBS PopAsia got in touch with Hugh and Nichola to see how everyone is holding up, and the couple say they're very happy to finally to be parents after a big journey that included IVF, a difficult journey, and now finally meeting their son.
The lead-up to Yul's birth was quite dramatic though as not only because he arrived two weeks early, but Hugh was actually at an event with the Korean president when Nichola realised she needed to go to the hospital as soon as possible.
Luckily, the event finished on time and High was able to get an ambulance to Nichola. A day later, baby Yul was born.
As for Hugh and Nichola, both are doing really well in the face of some stressful times over the past few days, and Nichola is recovering well from the c-section. Baby Yul is also on the up and up, and the couple are hoping that he will be able to go home by next week.
We're just really happy to hear that Hugh, Nichola, and baby Yul Theodore are on the up and up, and we hope to see more adorable family photos really soon.
