UPDATE: Following reports that Sooyoung is in talks with Echo Global Group, the company has made a new statement saying that she only had a meeting with the agency's director as the two are close friends and no discussions regarding contracts were held.

With an eight-member Girls' Generation no longer with us, K-pop fans are slowing moving on from the news that three members didn't re-sign with SM Entertainment, and it looks like one member is also taking steps in a new direction.

According to isplusSooyoung is reportedly in talks to join a new agency, Echo Global Group, which is also the home for popular American-Korean actor Daniel Henney. This report comes one week after news broke that the Girls' Generation member decided to not renew her contract with SM Entertainment, though it is not yet confirmed whether Sooyoung has joined Echo Global Group or another company just yet.

Having debuted back in 2007 with Girls' Generation, Sooyoung has since established herself as one of K-pop's leading idols due to her work as a singer, actress, and model.
