In most idol groups there's one member who has the 'parent' role. With idols debuting at such young ages, with barely any time to see their families, it’s important to have someone to watch over and take care of their fellow members.

Here's 8 idols who are pretty much the parents of their groups!

1. Suho (EXO)

According to fans, Suho is a single mum who raised all the EXO members by himself. He has admitted that he nags the other members like a mother even over little things such as coming home a few minutes late. Whenever an EXO member playfully steps out of line, Suho will be there to stop them immediately in their tracks.

2. Solji (EXID)

Solji is definitely the mother in her group. As the leader and oldest member, she does just about everything for her members including feeding them, making sure they help out with chores and always being supportive. Solji has been on hiatus from the group since late 2016 with health issues but is set to come back for EXID’s next album!

3. Jin (BTS)

Jin has been a pillar for the BTS members throughout the years, acting as a one-of-a-kind mum.  He knows each of the members inside out and is always there to comfort them when they’re upset. Back in the day, Jin used to drive Jungkook to school sometimes and if that’s not parental love then I don’t know what is!

4. Irene (Red Velvet)

Irene is another fantastic example of a mother in a group. She loves to iron clothes, and actually used to iron Yeri’s uniform and wake her up every morning for school. For her members’ birthdays, she cooks seaweed soup and always makes sure that everyone uses proper table manners when eating.

5. Taeyong (NCT)

While Taeyong has a bold and charismatic side when we see him in music videos and on stage, off camera he’s caring and has a soft side which fans have noticed calling him the mother of the group. It’s his attention to the minor details such as fixing a member's microphone, cooking and feeding, and helping members when they're in need. With a total of 15 members in NCT (NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT Dream) it’s safe to say Taeyong will have his hands full for quite some time.

6. Sowon (GFRIEND)

Sowon has effortless leadership skills, which practically make her the mother of the group by default. During performances Sowon always has an eye on the members, watching out in case they slip or fall. She’s always there when a member needs someone to lean on and her love for them is unconditional.

7. Leeteuk (Super Junior)

Leeteuk has done an amazing job raising Super Junior for over a decade pouring just about everything he had into making them a success. He had to take care of 13 members, which isn’t easy especially when one of them is the, always extra, Kim Heechul. Leeteuk is a natural born leader but even he has admitted that taking care of the group can be mentally exhausting. The members have expressed their love towards Leetuek wishing he’d be their leader forever.

8. Victoria (f(x))

It was only natural that Victoria became the mother of f(x)being the oldest member of the group. The second oldest, Amber is five years her younger. Victoria would take care of duties such as grocery shopping, cooking and always be prepared when they went on trips. While f(x) hasn't been active of late, hopefully they have a comeback soon!
