Ever since The New York Times and The New Yorker each published an exposé on Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and his decades-long behaviour of intimidation, harassment, and sexual assault, women around the world are starting to come forward with their own stories of harassment and assault, resulting in a number of empowering movements. One of these leading movements is the #MeToo campaign, which involves women around the world share their harassment stories alongside the #MeToo hashtag.
Among the many women to open up about their experiences, one of the latest people to come forward is none other than f(x)'s Amber.
In a new post of her Instagram, Amber opened up about her #MeToo story by writing "It happens everywhere, even here. I want to add my voice as well. Not only from what I have experienced but also from what I have seen my friends and loved ones have to go through... and because it's so common, I hate to say it.. the feelings became so numb and we all felt that we just had to "deal with it". As the human race, let's continue to show love, compassion and respect towards one another."
Fans have since responded positively to Amber's message, praising the singer for her courage in sharing her #MeToo experience and speaking up about such a serious issue.
