Former 2AM singer Jo Kwon has officially signed with Cube Entertainment after leaving JYP Entertainment in September.
The agency announced the surprising news in a new statement on Friday:
"This is Cube Entertainment.
We want to announce that singer Jo Kwon has signed an official contract with Cube Entertainment as a new family member.
Jo Kwon has pledged a new start with Cube Entertainment, home to chief executive director Hong Seung Sung whom Jo Kwon worked with during his 2008 debut as 2AM. Chief executive director Hong Seung Sung said, 'I will work with Jo Kwon so that he can showcase even more sides of his as an artist with high skill.'

Jo Kwon shocked his fans in September when he announced that he was leaving JYP Entertainment after 16 years with the agency. The 28-year-old said at the time that he was looking to "start fresh" and that it was "time for change" in his career.
Despite no longer being active with 2AM, Jo Kwon has carved out a successful career in variety shows and musicals. He most recently worked as an MC on Mnet's Golden Tambourine.
Good luck to Jo Kwon as he moves forward with Cube!
