The last few years have seen an increasing number of K-pop idols who are not from Korea, but if everything goes according to plan, it may not be long before we see the very first Indigenous Australian K-pop star!

Meet Alina, an Indigenous Australian teenager who has big dreams of being a K-pop idol and is currently training hard to realise her dream.

Hailing from Mt. Isa, Alina was first introduced to K-pop through PSY and soon this opened the floodgates to groups such as BIGBANG and EXO. She soon started dreaming of becoming a K-pop star and she's so committed to her dream that she travelled over 2500km to Sydney for an intense K-pop workshop, which she hopes will help her get ready for auditions with a K-pop company.

Keep chasing your dream, Alina, and don't stop fighting!
