Ever since James Corden dropped those cheeking behind-the-scenes fan cams of BTS' appearance on his show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, yesterday, there has been a bit of speculation as to what shenanigans the boys will be getting up to on the show. Well, if some new tweets from Big Hit CEO Bang Si Hyuk are to be believed, we're gonna be in for a treat!
On his Twitter account, the Big Hit CEO shared some screenshots of a text conversation he had with BTS. Based on the texts, it certainly appeared that the boys really enjoyed their time with James Corden and the amazing American crowd!
Here's a translation of the texts:
BTS member (name unseen): James Corden was so warm lol
Jimin: It was so cool. I felt like I was watching TV
Bang PD: Did he understand your performance?
j-hope: lol He really loved it
Bang PD: Oh~ good! Did a lot of fans come?
j-hope: lol yes, there were so many. Half of it was our fans, no, more than half.
Bang PD: It must've been lit
Jimin: Yes, they were so welcoming
j-hope: Yes, it was fun lol I'm so curious about America's reaction. I hope it gets revealed soon. I think the staff here loved it too.
Bang PD: How were the games? Was it fun? Did the audience and the fans like it?
j-hope: TT I was so surprised when the fruits exploded lol the sound was so loud
Bang PD: Fans are going to love your surprised reaction
Jimin: lol I was so surprised
j-hope: Oh yeah~~ the audience's reaction was the best too
Min Yoon Gi (SUGA): It was cool. Since I got to see the things I saw on YouTube in person
V: I think we were able to comfortably complete filming thanks to James hyung :)
Jin: I realized for the first time that fruits can surprise me
V: Why? Oh lol
BTS member (name unseen): It's sad that I can't understand English
As insightful as these texts are, there is one super interesting tidbit J-Hope and Jin let slip that gives us a hint on what to expect from their appearance on James Corden's show. A few times in the text, both J-Hope and Jin talk about "fruit" and how loud it was.
While this may sound weird, those who watch The Late Late Show With James Corden will recognise this as a reference to one of the show's most popular games, Flinch. The premise is simple, the guest stands behind some protective glass and have to try to not flinch as fruit is shot at them at high-speeds.
Sounds like it's gonna be FUN!
To get us ready for what looks like a super excited game of Flinch with BTS, let's get caught up to speed on what the game is right here!
