A new live-action mini-series starring ProZD looks to parody the ongoing ‘subs vs dubs’ debate in the anime community.

Anime Crimes Division is an upcoming mini-series by Freddie Wong’s RocketJump studio and Crunchyroll. The series stars YouTuber SungWon ‘ProZD’ Cho as a detective from the anime regulation agency trying to uphold peace and justice within the city of Neo Otaku. ProZD is joined by Alex Wassabi & Aaron ‘LazyRonStudios’.

The series is a parody of anime fans with ProZD’s character addicted to Pocky and wielding a gun based on the Dominator from PsychoPass. Given Freddie Wong’s YouTube channel of high budget action series and ProZD’s hilarious posts on Twitter, we can’t wait to see how this turns out.

According to RocketJump, the first episode of Anime Crimes Division debuts tomorrow on Crunchyroll. In it, ProZD will discover rising tensions between the subbing and dubbing anime communities and try to prevent a war between the two tribes.
