BIGBANG released an autobiography back in 2009 called "Shouting out to the World!". The book is about the confessions of being an idol and what challenges they've had to face over the years. It became a number one best-seller and the book has sold over 400,000 copies to date.
2. Lee Hong-gi (FTISLAND)
The lead singer of FTISLAND has an interesting hobby, which is nail art. It was reported that Hong-gi spent around $45,000 within two years to satisfy his needs. He took his love for nail art to new heights when he released his book "Lee Honggi Nail Book" in 2013. Before its release the book topped the Japan Tower Record’s pre-order chart and became a best-seller on Interpark’s list in Korea.
3. Lee Hyori
In 2012 the queen of K-pop released a book called "Closer: The Story of Hyori and Soon Shim." It was a photo-essay styled book, which tells of heart-warming stories by Hyori about animal adoption and protection. The book sold out just five days after release and Hyori decided to donate all the profits to PETA.
4. Tablo (Epik High)
The leader of Epik High made his writing debut in 2009 with "Pieces of You." The book tells ten short stories written from his college career back in 1998 to 2001. The book was originally written in English but then translated to Korean where the book sold over 50,000 copies and topped the best-seller list receiving positive reviews from critics as a first time author.
5. Onew, Taemin and Key (SHINee)
Believe it or not but the three SHINee members made a travel guide book about Barcelona called "SHINee in Barcelona: Children of the Sun." The book was published in 2011 and tells the stories of their adventures while also making recommendations of places to visit. 6. Hyoyeon (Girls’ Generation)
The Girls’ Generation lead dancer released a fashion and beauty book called "Hyo Style" in 2015. The book contains 142 pages and reveals Hyoyeon’s personal style from make-up tips to ‘IT’ item clothing pieces.
7. L (INFINITE)
L released a photo essay called "L’s Bravo Viewtful Part 1." The book documents L's normal daily life with writing, photos and drawings. When it was released in 2013 it hit number one in pre-order sales from popular book sites such as Kyobo and YES24.
8. Jonghyun (SHINee)
In 2015 Jonghyun released his book "Skeleton Flower: Things That Have Been Released and Set Free" where he writes about his song writing experiences and motivations. The book has 162 pages and also contains photos taken by Jonghyun himself.
