Our first proper look at the ERASED  live-action TV series is here.

Based on Kei Sanbe’s seinen thriller manga series of the same name, Erased follows Satoru Fujinuma, a 29-year-old man who discovers he has the ability to rewind time. After his mother is killed, Satoru travels back 18 years, now with the chance to stop a kidnapping that took the lives of three of his classmates.

Shinobi: Heart of the Blade’s Ten Shimoyama will direct the project, with a script written by J-Drama director Tomomi Okubo (99 days with the superstar, Challenged). Yuki Furukawa (Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo, Beyond the Memories, The Eternal Zero) will star as adult Satoru Fujinuma, and Reo Uchikawa (The Blue Hearts, A Drop of the Grapevine) as his younger self.

In 2016, Sanbe’s manga was adapted into an anime TV series and live-action film. Netflix’s TV series will release in Japan on December 15 and over 190 countries, including Australia, within the American winter season.

Netflix are also adapting the One Punch Man-like superhero comedy Mob Pscyho 100 into a TV series beginning in January.
