It goes without saying that BTS had quite the successful showing at this year's 2017 Melon Music Awards, managing to pick up four trophies for Song of the Year, Global Artist Award, a Top 10 Artist Award, and the Best Music Video Award. However, it turns out that the boys did better than initially thought!

According to a new article from Melon Magazine, it was listed that BTS' Global Artist Award is a Daesang (grand prize) rather than a regular award. What this means is that the boys had actually won two Daesang awards at this year's MMAs instead of the one (Song of the Year) that everyone had originally thought!

The article further mentions that the Global Artist Award had not been given out since PSY last received it back in 2013 before listing BTS' achievements in 2017 that warranted their win, such as having two songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100, their album Love Yourself 'Her' landing in at No.7 on the Billboard 200 chart, and their well-received performance at the 2017 American Music Awards.

Welp, congrats are in order to BTS for (belatedly) winning another Daesang award at the 2017 MMAs!
