TVXQ's concert was held on the same day as Jonghyun's funeral.

Jonghyun's friends, family, and SM Entertainment labelmates were in attendance for his funeral yesterday (December 21). But missing from the SHINee singer's funeral were TVXQ's Yunho and Changmin, both of whom had a concert scheduled in Japan at the same time.

The thought of being unable to pay his final respects to Jonghyun in Korea ultimately weighed heavily on Yunho's mind, and this ultimately manifested in a dramatic moment in the middle of TVXQ's Tokyo Dome concert.

During TVXQ's performance of "Somebody To Love," Yunho was seen kneeling down mid-song before screaming out to Jonghyun as loud as he could.

TVXQ were also unable to return to Korea for Jonghyun's memorial service, and the duo paid their respects to their late friend by sending out a large message on the LED screens of their December 20 concert.

The TVXQ duo previously stated that once their Japanese schedules are done, they will return to Korea as soon as possible to pay their respects to Jonghyun.
