In true Nintendo style, the company has revealed a series of interactive experiences using sheets of cardboard and Nintendo Switch hardware.

The Nintendo Labo uses modular sheets of cardboard designed to interact with Nintendo Switch consoles and Joy-Con controllers to create interact experiences called Toy-Cons. To use it, you build the sheet of cardboard into a shape, slide your Joy-Con controller in along with your Switch console and play.

“You can make a functioning 13-key piano that brings your musical arrangements to life once the Nintendo Switch console and Right Joy-Con controller are inserted,” Nintendo says.

There's been some funny reactions online...

Nintendo also announced the Tokyo-themed DS classic The World Ends With You is being remastered for the Nintendo Switch, during a mini Nintendo Direct last week..

The Nintendo Labo will release on April 20. Love the story? Follow the author on Twitter.
