For those who are unaware, VLive is a massively-popular Korean livestreaming service in which K-pop idols put on live broadcasts and chat to their fans whenever they want. 2017 was yet another huge year for the platform, with several new artists opening accounts and big-name groups getting even more views.

To celebrate the most popular channels throughout 2017, VLive have announced its "2018 Global VLive Top 10" awards!

Three award categories were announced as part of the 2018 Global VLive Top 10: the Global Artist Top 10, Global Rookie Top 5,  and a Special Award by fans.

The Global Artist Top 10 category recognises the top 10 VLive channels that had the highest scores on the yearly chart throughout 2017 (scores taken between January 1 to December 25, 2017). From the expected heavyweights to some pleasant surprises, here are the top 10 Global Artists of 2017:

As for the Global Rookie Top 5 category, this was awarded to the top 5 channels with the highest score on the yearly chart (scores taken between January 1 to December 25, 2017) among those channels who debuted in 2017. Here are the well-deserved winners:

And lastly, the Special Award category is an award given by fans to the artists they want. How this category works is fans design their own award certificate before submitting it to VLive (right here!). Fans then vote on their favourite designed certificate and the one with most "likes" will be awarded to its nominated artist. For those interested in entering, the submission period is between January 23 to January 28 so get designing!

A huge congrats to all those artists recognised by VLive's 2018 Global VLive Top 10 awards!
