Kris Wu has been named as an official ambassador for the upcoming Super Bowl LII by NFL China!

NFL.com reports that the former EXO member will also perform at Verizon's Super Bowl LIVE, a huge, free, ten-day fan festival leading up to Super Bowl LII.

Kris' performance will take place on February 3; a day before the Super Bowl.

"It is my pleasure to be named ambassador to one of the world's most recognisable sports and entertainment events," Kris said in an official statement.

"Thanks to the NFL and Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee for inviting me to join in the Super Bowl LIVE festivities leading up to the big game. I look forward to participating in Tencent's coverage and sharing my gameday experience with fans around the world."

According to NFL.com, the sport has a "rapidly growing fan base" in China, and Kris was selected as the ambassador due to his global popularity and large social media following.

Congratulations Kris!
