Your Name? A Silent Voice? Mary and the Witch's Flower? Another anime film?

It's a little hard to believe but since 2001 when the Best Animated Feature category was introduced at the Academy Awards, Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away is currently the only anime film ever to win an Oscar, and only five other films have earned nominations (Howl's Moving CastleThe Wind RisesThe Tale of the Princess KaguyaWhen Marnie Was There, and The Red Turtle).

The last two years have seen some notable snubs in the Best Animated Feature category, with the smash-hit Your Name failing to score an Oscar nom in 2017 and A Silent Voice missing out at this year's 2018 Oscars.

Since anime films don't seem to get much Oscar love, we thought we might open up the floor to all you anime lovers!
