Following on from the recent Kyunghee University Grad School controversy involving CNBLUE's Yonghwa, now former 2AM leader Jo Kwon has been reported to also have received preferential treatment from the uni's grad school.

Jo Kwon graduated from the post-modern music department of Kyunghee University in 2015 before completing a master's degree through a non-dissertation screening process. The legitimacy method of graduation, which involved a performance rather than writing a thesis, has been called into question now, with suggestions he was treated differently due to his celebrity status.

The singer has shared his side of the story with lengthy posts on Instagram. In these he wrote:

"My graduation and degree from Kyunghee University is not a result of preferential treatment of a celebrity but the hard effort I put into the tasks given by the school. My mind is very heavy that I'm at this point in a situation where I have to write this post of justification."

You can have a look at his Insta post, written in Korean, below.
