British cartoon Peppa Pig has recently been blocked on Chinese video streaming site Douyin after the character developed a 'gangster' reputation among adults.

The anthropomorphic pig has spawned thousands of memes in China, including a temporary tattoo craze and merchandise for adults. Peppa mania has been sweeping China and now there are idols getting in on the action too!

Two artists from Idol Producer, Qin Fen and Xiao Gui, the latter of whom is now in the finalist's group Nine Percent, have been spotted with Peppa Pig accessories already.

Considering how massive Peppa Pig's subversive popularity is in China right now, we can probably expect to see more of this trend!
