A music show win is a pretty big deal in K-pop, with the shows tabulating everything from digital streaming to social mentions to gauge what the most popular songs are at any given time.

Some groups have had to wait a long time for their winning moment though. Here are just some of them:

It took NU'EST almost 6 years to get their first music show win, which came with their song "Where You At", while they were promoting as NU'EST W.

The boy group won their first music show trophy with "Way Back Home", three years after they had debuted.

Girl's Day

The group took first place for the first time with "Female President" three years after debut.

This girl group are another who debuted in 2012 and waited three years to land their first music show win, with hit song "Up & Down".

Their first ever win saw "Hwi Hwi" beat IU to first place, approximately three years after debut.

The girl group's first win only happened last year, with "Now, We".

Block B

Debuting in 2011, it wasn't until 2013 that Block B had their first win, with "Very Good"

Monsta X

Although they debuted in 2015, it wasn't until November 2017 that Monsta X won first place on a music show, with their single "Dramarama" beating out EXID and Block B.
