Seriously, what is it about parking lots?

Here's a recurring K-pop music video theme for you: low lighting, industrial vibes, sports cars... all in an underground parking lot.

We don't know what it is about this space but it seems to inspire plenty of male idol group K-pop MVs. Here's a few of our faves.

1. EXO: Call Me Baby

They ride the cars, sit on the cars and dance in the same room as them, the variety!

2. BTS: Not Today

It starts out in a parking lot before sweeping outwards

3. iKON: Killing Me

Jumping over fire and being circled by motorbikes - a standard carpark experience.

4. BIGBANG: Lies

Rollerskating in a parking lot. That is all.

5. WINNER: Really Really

Grabbing all your friends to dance in an underground parking lot - also a standard experience.

6. NCT: Limitless

The Japanese version has the cleanest underground lot you've ever seen.

7. B.A.P: One Shot

Look, this is more a garage than an underground parking lot but seriously, it's B.A.P, they're always somewhere that seems like it could house cars, looking serious and shooting something.

8. Taemin: Danger

When will Taemin appear before us in a parking lot and dance up a storm?

9. MONSTA X: Spotlight

It's actually hard to pick just one MV where MONSTA X dance in a vaguely industrial, parking lot-esque space.

10. Stray Kids: My Pace

This is a warehouse turned parking lot kinda vibe, you know it's probably a shopping centre carpark most of the time.

11. SHINee: Lucifer

Probably a carpark we can't afford to step foot into tbh, judging by the high quality visuals: we're talking the talent and the cars here.

This was pre-debut ATEEZ, but they knew what they were doing, getting in on this parking garage action early on.

They switch it up in this one, the parking garage is but one of many settings. But look at that passionate slow-mo running in it, we couldn't resist including it.
