There are usually two or more vocalists in K-pop groups, which can sometimes make it hard for individuals to shine, especially if they're not the main vocalist.

This got us thinking: who are some of the most underrated vocalists in K-pop? Here's some of our suggestions, who would you add to the list?

1. SHINee's Key

SHINee have many strong vocalists so it's taken time for people to realise how strong Key's vocals actually are. He's often sung in a key different to his natural tone too, but now that he's releasing his solo music, there's no denying he's got serious vocal skills.

2. GOT7's Yugyeom

Yugyeom has a distinctive voice but he often doesn't get the same attention as his bandmates. Just showcases how much talent there is in GOT7!

3. 2NE1's Minzy

Minzy was always considered the dancer of 2NE1 but that would be denying her powerhouse vocals. Having been in one of the top K-pop girl groups, you know she's trained that voice to perfection.

4. Girls' Generation's Sooyoung

Although she's considered a non-vocalist in SNSD, but she can really belt it given the opportunity.

5. f(x)'s Amber

Amber has earned a spot as one of the most unique voices among K-pop rappers, but she's also a flexible vocalist with more range than she's given credit for. Her solo stuff has allowed her to share that side of her musicality, lucky for us!

6. EXID's Hani

Hani soars when she sings in a lower register to what many of EXID's songs are set to be performed in. While many fans adore her vocals already, we think she definitely deserves more love for her talents.

7. EXO's Suho

Suho is technically part of the vocal line of EXO but somehow it feels like he doesn't get the attention he deserves. Having played the lead in a few musicals now, he knows how to project and make his vocals both stable and powerful.

8. EXO's Xiumin

Most fans are already familiar with Xiumin's glass-shattering falsetto, but what many don't realise is the depth of his range. His lines can be short in EXO songs, but they're always memorable thanks to his vocals.

9. VIXX's Hyuk

Another group jammed with vocal talents, the maknae has grown into his vocal powers as the years have gone on since debut. His solo stages are a testament to it!

10. B.A.P's Jongup

Tbh we could have a long conversation about how underrated all of B.A.P.'s vocals are, but Jongup is our main focus for now. We can only hope his solo music helps people discover his talents!

11. Red Velvet's Yeri

Yeri's vocals are still growing and changing as she gains experience in performing, and there's something special in her tone and falsetto skills that will hopefully get more attention as her career continues to rise!

12. BTS' Taehyung

V has definitely gotten more attention for his vocals recently thanks to "Singularity" giving him the solo spotlight. His voice isn't what you'd expect from a boy group, with his range sitting in huskier territory, though he can also hit a high note when the song demands it.

13. SEVENTEEN's Joshua

There are many gifted vocalists in SEVENTEEN, but Joshua with a guitar and his pure angelic falsetto voice deserve some special attention.

14. TWICE's Chaeyoung

Chaeyoung is positioned as the main rapper in TWICE, but she also takes on some vocal duties. She's certainly underrated when it comes to her powerhouse voice, though we're sure fans know how amazing she is!
