BTS' documentary Burn The Stage: The Movie was released in cinemas worldwide last week for a limited run, and in its short time on screens it's already broken a US box office record.

Burn The Stage brought in US$3.54m since its release in the US, making it the highest grossing event cinema musical production, breaking the record previously set in 2014 by One Direction.

The film has amassed US$9.3m worldwide since release, not surprising considering nearly 1 million tickets were sold worldwide a week in advance of the film's release.

Congrats to BTS!
