You've probably heard about the latest K-drama people are loving, Memories of the Alhambra. It's not your standard rom-com, rather it's an action/drama/sci-fi adventure that's got suspense for days.

The story involves an investment firm exec who flies to Granada in search of a talented programmer who's created an impossibly futuristic AR game. Except the programmer is missing and the only way to get to him is through his sister, who's the owner of a run-down hostel. Naturally our lead also gets off on the wrong foot with her.

Need some more convincing? We have five reasons you'll want to start streaming now!

1. Hyun Bin is back

Classic K-drama fans won't need an introduction to actor Hyun Bin, but if you do, here it is: he's one of Korea's top stars and has starred in some of the biggest K-dramas including Secret Garden, My Name is Kim Sam Soon and Worlds Within. He hasn't been in a K-drama since 2015's Hyde Jekyll, Me, and honestly, we've missed his handsome face. And also his very talented acting.

Not to mention, he's acting alongside K-drama fave Park Shin Hye, so it's double the acting talent!

2. Sci-fi madness

Fantasy, science-fiction, whatever you want to call it, the augmented reality gaming aspect of this show brings so much action to the screen. The almost too realistic CGI blurs the lines between what's real and what's just the computer game, adding another layer of intrigue.

3. Amazing locations

Set in Spain's Granada at the start, the setting is stunning. From the rustic hostel to the cobblestone streets of the city and its many cosy looking bars and restaurants, you might be too tense from the action to truly appreciate the surrounds, but it's an interesting change of scenery from the usual K-drama backdrops.

4. Park Chanyeol coming through with the acting

That's right, EXO's Chanyeol is in this and has your heart gripped in sympathy from the first second he appears on screen looking terrified. He plays the genius programmer with a new AR game that people will literally kill for, and his acting is on point.

5. It's available in Australia now

That's right, episodes are being uploaded weekly on Netflix so you can get enthralled without lifting a finger between episodes!
