K-pop solo star Sunmi is back with a new single and it's leaving a strong impression. The music video for "Noir" calls out the pretences of social media and the obsession with getting validation through likes with striking imagery and a catchy refrain.

The song hit No.1 on five major Korean real-time charts: Genie, Bugs, Naver, Mnet and Soribada. She also took No.2 on Melon's real-time charts.

Fans have been praising Sunmi for showcasing the realities of social media with her patented tongue-in-cheek style, and we're here for the commentary.
