BIGBANG's Seungri will be the final member of the group to enter the military, having confirmed his enlistment date.

A representative from YG Entertainment has responded to a recent report from Korean news outlet Edaily regarding the idol's enlistment to confirm that he will be enlisting as an active duty soldier on March 25.

Seungri had applied and sat for the conscripted policeman selection exam in January, however the representative stated: "In order to not create any misunderstandings, even if he passes the first round, he will be withdrawing himself from the selection and enlisting as an active duty soldier".

The military enlistment announcement comes amid controversies involving Seungri's business ventures, including his association with Burning Sun club where staff were accused of assaulting patrons.

There have also been recent allegations of Seungri lobbying to investors by arranging sexual escort services for them. YG has denied reports of Seungri's involvement, and investigations are still underway. Seungri was questioned by police on February 27, and has asked for people to await the results of the investigation.

All other members of BIGBANG are currently serving in the military, with T.O.P set to be discharged mid-year, and Taeyang and G-Dragon towards the end of the year.
