Former FTISLAND member Choi Jong Hoon has been booked by police for trying to bribe the police officer who caught him drink driving in 2016.

The police booked the idol for offering 2 million won (approximately AU$2,480) at the scene of the incident, in a bid to cover up the incident.

A police source said that they had received testimony from the officer in question that stated Choi Jong Hoon had attempted to offer bribes to him, but that he had rejected the offer.

The police will now investigate how and if the bribes were offered and rejected at the time, and how the situation was ultimately concluded.

Choi Jong Hoon is also under investigation for allegedly being a member of Jung Joon Young's chatroom where illegal hidden cam footage was shared and discussed.
