Seungri and his business partner, former CEO of Yuri Holdings, Yoo In Suk, have been charged with embezzlement.

The police stated that while investigating the nightclub Monkey Museum owned by the pair, it was found that they had embezzled funds from the club and were thus booked on the charge of occupational embezzlement.

According to police, the amount is in the tens of millions of won and they are currently seeking to find the exact amount along with where the money has been used.

Monkey Museum was opened by Seungri and Yoo In Suk in July 2016 and has become part of police investigations after it was linked with Senior Superintendent Yoon, the police officer at the centre of the corruption and bribing controversies currently engulfing Burning Sun and other nightclubs in Seoul.
