Former FTISLAND member Choi Jong Hoon has admitted that he bribed a police officer when caught drunk driving in 2016.

A police source stated that Choi Jong Hoon admitted to telling the police officer who caught him: "I'll give you money, so let this pass".

According to police, some members in the Kakaotalk chatroom with Jung Joon Young have testified that they knew Choi Jong Hoon had attempted to bargain with a police officer, offering a range of amounts from 2 million to 10 million won. The police officer in question has previously stated that they rejected the bribe.

In February 2016, Choi Jong Hoon was caught driving while drunk. His license was suspended and he was fined 2.5 million won, but he wasn't charged with offering a bribe to police. The incident was not reported in the press.

Choi Jong Hoon has been booked both for this incident and for filming and sharing illegal hidden camera videos.
