Korean actor Park Hyung Sik has confirmed that he has applied to serve as a military police officer, with the intention of enlisting in the next few months.

The 27-year-old idol was reported to have applied and reached the second-round of interviews on April 9. According to news outlet Ilgan Sports, if he were to be accepted, he'd enlist in June.

Park Hyung Sik's agency has responded to confirm, saying: "If Park Hyung Sik is accepted to the military police department, he will carry out his military service at the Capital Defense Command. If he is not accepted, he is planning to enlist as an active-duty soldier at the end of May".

Park Hyung Sik will make his feature film debut in Jurors out May 16 in Korean cinemas. He's also recently finished a run of the musical Elisabeth in Korea.
