Kenshi Yonezu has just achieved a new milestone with his hit song "Lemon"!

According to Billboard Japan, the Japanese singer-songwriter has officially sold three million units in CDs and downloads of the song, making him the first Japanese artist under the age of 31 to reach such a record.

"Lemon" was released digitally on February 12 2018 and on CD on March 14 2018. It has since sold 530,000 physical copies and 2.49 million downloads.

The song joins two others in exceeding the 3 million mark: Southern All Stars' "TSUNAMI" and SMAP's "Sekai ni Hitotsudake no Hana" are the only other Japanese songs to have reached such levels of sales success.

The song is also on over 355 million views on YouTube, so if you've not watched it yet, now seems like a good time to check it out.

What a huge achievement for Kenshi Yonezu!
