Things are progressing in Kang Daniel's court case against entertainment agency LM Entertainment. The idol filed an injunction back on March 19, requesting his exclusive contract with the agency be suspended.
On May 10, the courts sided with him and accepted the injunction request. As a result, Kang Daniel is now able to pursue his activities as an entertainer. The courts found that due to Kang Daniel not being contacted before the majority of his management rights were passed onto a third party, LM Entertainment's actions went against the terms of the contract and also breached the trust of the client.
LM Entertainment were told that they couldn't interfere with Kang Daniel's activities and that they couldn't negotiate or sign contracts on his behalf.
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel shared a handwritten letter to fans on his Instagram account, thanking those who have stood by him as he deals with the situation. He also said: "Although I could have made my situation easier and faster by making compromises, I wanted to show you this image of myself going in the right and honourable direction, even if I went slowly". However that's not quite the end, with LM Entertainment responding on May 11 saying they intend to file a formal objection in court.
