Everyone's fave K-drama gal Park Bo Young is back! Not only is she back, but she's starring opposite babe Ahn Hyo Seop in the new drama Abyss. Intense sounding title right? While it's definitely a crime-mystery drama, it's also sowing the seeds for an unconventional romance, so naturally we're already on board.

Here's some reasons we think you'd be into it too!

1. Apparently your body can be a reflection of your soul

The series kicks off with Cha Min, an unattractive but wealthy business heir, dying. He's revived by aliens (played by Seo In Guk and Jung So Min in a very memorable cameo) and suddenly he's extremely handsome. Turns out that maybe you're reincarnated to look on the outside as you feel on the inside?

Made all the funnier when his friend Go Seyeon, a beautiful prosecutor, is revived as what they call 'an ordinary girl'.

2. Perfectly matched leads

Park Bo Young is practically a K-drama veteran now, while Ahn Hyo Seop is growing into lead roles slowly but surely. There's something refreshing about this combo, and they play off each other seamlessly. He's the downtrodden man who wants to clear his name and she's the prosecutor who bulldozes her way through any obstacles.

3. Btw, he's accused of murdering her

Here's the mystery thriller element: someone's murdering people, everyone thinks it's Cha Min, who is technically dead but is deemed missing by the general public. Meanwhile he's in a new body, with no cash, desperately trying to find the actual serial killer, who also is responsible for killing Seyeon. Are you still with us?

4. Our emotions!

We want these two to fall in love SO BADLY. Cha Min has always had a crush on Seyeon but she couldn't look past his less-appealing looks. Now he's got a new handsome face and she's considered the less attractive one, my how the tables have turned. Let this be an exercise in not judging people by appearance and may the romance commence! Seriously. Please. We need this.
