Korean actress Jeon Mi Sun has passed away.
The 48-year-old actress was found dead in the bathroom of her hotel room on June 29. Her manager called for help and the fire department were dispatched. She was found not breathing and with no pulse, and as a result was not moved to hospital. Her case was handed over to the police and it is suspected she died by suicide.
In an official statement issued over the weekend by her agency, Boas Entertainment, they confirmed the actress' passing and that she had been receiving treatment for depression. Read their full statement here.
Jeon Mi Sun was one of the most celebrated actresses in Korean television and cinema, with roles in films and dramas such as Memories of Murder, Mother, Moon Embracing the Sun and most recently He is Psychometric. Her last film, The King's Letters, is due to be released in July.
Celebrities have paid their respects to the actress at her funeral over the weekend, and the funeral procession will take place on July 2.
