Korean music survival show Produce X 101 came to an end this weekend with the final reveal of which trainees would debut as the winning boy group.
The 11-member group is officially named X1 and will promote together for five years, in what is the longest contract in Produce history so far. The first 2.5 years will be exclusive promotion as a group, while the other half will be split with their solo/group promotions outside of X1.
With close to 15 million public votes deciding the winners, the final line-up was revealed. If you haven't been watching the series, here's some basic info about the members to get you ready to stan once X1 debut - in order of their ranking in the final episode.
11. Lee Eun Sang (Brand New Music)
Eun Sang was the X member added to the group. The X member is the final member chosen by total number of votes they accumulated over the season, rather than just the finale.
10. Kang Min Hee (Starship Entertainment)
16-year-old Min Hee has been a trainee for a year and nine months at Starship Entertainment, and he had lots of support from his seniors while he was on the show.
9. Cha Jun Ho (Woollim Entertainment)
Jun Ho won over fans with his charms and good looks, with many comparing him to INFINITE's L. His popularity even prior to the show airing, with over 60 fansites dedicated to him, had many thinking he'd rank No.1. He was a trainee for a year and three months, with talents listed as singing and Goblin language.
8. Nam Do Hyon (MBK Entertainment)
Do Hyon isn't a stranger to survival shows, he was on Under Nineteen and didn't make it to the debut team that time. He's only been a trainee for five months, but understandably so considering he's only 14 years old!
7. Lee Han Gyul (MBK Entertainment)
Hang Gyul is one of the final members who has already debuted in another boy group. Before Produce, he debuted in boy group IM. He also appeared on The Unit but IM haven't had a comeback since 2017, so it's unknown whether the group disbanded quietly or not.
6. Son Dong Pyo (DSP Media)
Produce X 101's first centre, the 18-year-old has been a trainee for one year and five months. His baby face was one of the many endearing qualities that won over fans during the series.
5. Cho Seung Youn (Yuehua Entertainment)
Seung Youn actually has an impressive CV: he originally was a member of Chinese-Korean boy group UNIQ, debuting in 2014 with the stage name WOODZ. He's also a solo artist and producer, and he's no stranger to survival shows either: he trained in YG as Team C (as in when Team A became Winner and Team B became iKON); and was also on Show Me The Money 5.
PLUS he's part of M.O.L.A, a music collective that includes 15& Park Jimin, PENTAGON's Kino, SEVENTEEN's Vernon and others.
4. Song Hyeong Jun (Starship Entertainment)
Hyeong Jun was a classic example of rising to the top on the show. While initially being in the lower group, he ended with fourth rank and throughout the show was praised for his leadership skills during low morale moments with his fellow trainees.
3. Han Seung Woo (Plan A Entertainment)
Seung Woo is another member who comes from an already debuted group, in this case VICTON. He had a lot of buzz behind him when announced, along with his fellow member Choi Byungchan who unfortunately pulled out due to an injury close to the finale. Seung Woo maintained his rep as one of the top trainees from the start and his final ranking is proof. He's also one of the oldest members of the group at age 24.
2. Kim Woo Seok (TOP Media)
Woo Seok debuted back in 2015 with UP10TION and has been working hard ever since. While he entered the show with fellow member Lee Jinhyuk, he was the only one to make it to the top 11. Woo Seok is no stranger to television either, he was a host on music program The Show with Somi back in 2016.
1. Kim Yo Han (OUI Entertainment)
This season's No.1 pick has only been a trainee for three months! Yohan gained popularity with Korean audiences thanks to his easy going personality, handsome visuals and of course his multi-talented skills when it came to vocals, dance and rap.
