Following news of Goo Hara's passing, many of her friends and fellow artists have shared messages of condolence and expressed their grief publicly, in messages shared to social media.

Actor Park Min Young, who worked with Goo Hara in the drama City Hunter, posted photos on Instagram and wrote, "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to be with you on your final path... I will remember you as my cute Hara. Take care on your journey".

Giriboy shared a message saying: "Even though we're the same age, you were like a senior to me. Whenever I contacted you to ask you something, you'd always try to help me... you were such a warm person. Just recently we talked on the phone and everything seemed normal, but then this suddenly happened. I'm so shocked... I hope you're happy. Really".

Tiger JK tweeted his condolences: "Rest in peace. We weren't close acquaintances, but I do remember her bright face whenever she greeted me during promotions when we passed by each other. That person who always came to the green room to greet her senior even after becoming that famous".

In an Instagram post where he also shared a photo of Goo Hara, DinDin wrote: "Hara, when I slowly started receiving more attention, you worried about me and told me to contact you if I ever went through a hard time. You were so beautiful and radiant, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to do anything for you and couldn't be of any help. I'm truly sorry. I should have helped you in at least some small way, and I'm really sorry. I'm so angry and I hate the world so much, but I really hope that you'll be happy. I'm sorry. Thank you."

Former After School leader Kahi also wrote on her Instagram saying: "Another sun has set today... sigh... although we need to protect our children, we also need to protect our idols... never forget... that someone is always praying for you... RIP".

Other celebrities including Han Ye Seul, former A-JAX member Dowoo, Raspberry Field's Kim So Yi, Harisu, Chae Ri Na and former Rania member Alexandra Reid also shared their condolences on social media.
