JYP Entertainment have issued a new statement regarding TWICE's Nayeon, after it was confirmed that her stalker had attempted to approach her on a flight.

According to the statement, the encounter took place on January 1, "when boarding a return flight from Japan to Korea, a stalker of TWICE member Nayeon attempted to approach her numerous times after boarding. We were able to respond to the situation right away, and she wasn't harmed, but she is currently quite discomforted and anxious".

The agency stated that they had warned the stalker several times to stop his behaviour but he didn't listen and tried to force his way towards the idol, as well as raising his voice.

JYP Entertainment also confirmed that following the incident, Nayeon is currently under police protection, and that the agency intends to take the highest level of legal action available against the stalker.

The agency will also be investigating the illegal selling of artist's private information such as flight schedules.
