Parasite has just made history with its Oscar nominations!

The South Korean film directed by Bong Joon Ho, has been nominated for six Academy Awards, as announced on January 14. Parasite is the first South Korean film to be nominated for Best Picture and Best International Film in Oscars history.

The film has also been recognised in the categories of Best Director for Bong Joon Ho, Best Original Screenplay for Bong Joon Ho with Jin Won Han, Film Editing for Jinmo Yang, and Production Design for Lee Ha Jun and Cho Won Woo.

Parasite has already garnered many prizes this awards season, including its historic win at the Golden Globes with Best Foreign Language Film. Parasite was also the first South Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival.
