Seungri has been issued a military draft notice from the South Korean military, notifying him that he must join the military.

Seungri's enlistment was postponed in March 2019 while he was under police investigation for a number of suspected crimes. He has since been indicted without detention on charges of prostitution mediation, habitual gambling and violating the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act.

The military has announced that Seungri has been sent his draft notice and will have to enlist. It is expected he will do so between late February and early March.

The jurisdiction of his trials will be transferred to military courts. The military has stated that they will cooperate with the prosecution to ensure the trial is conducted in a fair manner and that they will consider the rulings made by civilian courts in similar cases when considering Seungri's trial.

Seungri's enlistment date and location will not be shared publicly.
