You may still be catching up on all the 2019 K-dramas you missed, but you'd better start preparing another list because 2020 is here and so are more excellent shows you're going to want to watch!

I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice

Get ready for a heartwarming romance! Park Min Young plays a woman who moves to a small town from Seoul wanting to get away from city life. She runs into a former high school classmate, played by Seo Kang Joon, who runs a local bookstore.

It premieres in Korea on February 24.

Hi Bye, Mama!

Kim Tae Hee is back! She stars as a woman who after passing away in a tragic accident, returns as a ghost to her husband (Lee Kyu Hyung) and daughter for 49 days. We're expecting a LOT of feelings with this one, but it won't be all gloom with some fun characters in the mix too!

Hi Bye, Mama premieres on February 22.

Action fans, this one's for you. Based on a webtoon of the same name, Rugal stars Choi Jin Hyuk as an elite detective trying to take down a national crime organisation. They not only frame him for murder, but kill his wife and take his sight. He's recruited to a secret organisation, Rugal, that uses biotechnology to create 'human weapons'. With a new set of artificial eyes, he sets out to seek revenge.

Sci-fi, action and drama: it's all here! Rugal premieres on March 16.

Hospital Playlist

From the creators of the Reply series and Prison Playbook, this new medical drama is about ordinary doctors and their ordinary stories. The cast includes Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho and Kim Dae Myung playing a group of long-time friends who met in med school.

It premieres on March 12.

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life

This drama focuses on a woman who meets her first love again when she's in her forties. The show will skip between past and present, with the older version of the pair played by Lee Bo Young and Yoo Ji Tae, while their younger selves will be played by Jeon So Nee and GOT7's Jinyoung. Byung Hun has also been cast in a past character role.

The show will air sometime in April.

This fantasy-drama stars Park Hae Jin as a businessman who leaves the corporate world to become a countryside special services rescue team member, alongside Jo Bo Ah as a surgical resident. The pair meet in a forest where they're forced to live together. Of course, the forest isn't what it seems and soon secrets about their childhoods are revealed that have held them back as adults.

There's romance, drama and enough mystery to keep you hooked with this one!

Itaewon Class

Park Seo Joon leads this drama about a guy trying to get his life on track by running a bar in the bustling Seoul district of Itaewon, despite the obstacles he faces. From his father's unjust death to the chaebols who want to ruin him, you'll be backing Park Seo Joon and the ensemble cast of ragtag friends all the way as they fight injustices and try to succeed even when the world is against them.

Itaewon Class is currently airing on Netflix, with episodes added weekly.

The King: The Eternal Monarch

Lee Min Ho returns in his first role since being discharged from the military, and he's chosen a top tier return! This drama is written by Kim Eun Sook, the woman behind GoblinThe HeirsDescendants of the Sun and Mr. Sunshine, to name a few.

According to early reports, this drama will be a fantasy romance set in two parallel universes: one is modern day Korea and the other is a Korean empire ruled by a single monarch. In a bid to close the door between the two worlds, the Korean empire's leader and a modern-day detective need to work together. The cast includes Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan, Kim Kyung Nam and Jung Eun Chae so far!

It's expected to air in the second half of 2020.

Kingdom 2

For fans of the first season of this Netflix-produced K-drama, there's a second season coming soon! It'll be a continuation of the story from the first season, so make sure to catch up on this historical zombie action show before the new series airs!

Premiere is currently set for March.

We don't know much about this one but we do know that it's got a star-studded cast! This drama will apparently dive into the world of international non-governmental organisations and their work. There's no date on when it'll air either but the cast includes Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Han Ji Min, Bae Sung Woo and Nam Joo Hyuk, so we'll be anticipating until it arrives!

We know there's loads more K-dramas to get excited about, and this list is just the start. Which 2020 drama are you most looking forward to watching?
