BTSMap of the Soul tour tickets have been selling in record numbers in the first 72 hours after release, according to a report from Forbes.

Forbes reported that according to StubHub, BTS' world tour has beat sales for several other pop artists including Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. The site says BTS sold twice the number of tickets than the Superbowl and that the sales showcased a 560% growth for the group's ticket sales.

BTS has risen to be the No.1 top-selling artist on StubHub since Map of the Soul tour tickets went on sale, with fans from 24 countries purchasing tickets.

BTS seem to be set to outdo themselves once again: the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour earned them US$116.6 million (approximately AU$171 million), and they sold 976,283 tickets across 20 shows.

BTS' Map of the Soul tour begins in South Korea in April before travelling to the USA, Canada, Europe and Japan, with more dates to be announced. The new album Map of the Soul: 7 will be released globally on February 21.
