SM Entertainment has released a statement regarding EXO's future activities as a group and the individual members. It follows Chen's recent apology letter to fans, a month after announcing his engagement and impending fatherhood in January.

SM Entertainment wrote that before officially announcing the marriage, EXO members did have discussions with SM Entertainment. They wrote: "As much as the EXO members have all experienced the pain of members leaving, they expressed their intention that they want to continue together as they have until now. The agency also respected this opinion of the members, and there will be no changes in EXO's member [lineup]."

The agency also confirmed that due to upcoming military enlistments for some members, it was always planned that EXO would focus on solo and unit activities this year. SM Entertainment will share these activities over the coming year.

The agency ended their statement with: "The EXO members will continue to promote in various ways as EXO, solo artists and units, and they will repay the love of fans. We will also provide our full support in every way possible for further growth of EXO and the members".

It has so far been announced that Suho intends to release a solo album in the coming months, with more solo activities for members to be revealed.
