K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN will become the latest act to join global fan community app Weverse.

Weverse is a mobile app that aims to connect artists with fans worldwide. Fans are able to post messages, images and more which can then be seen and commented on by the artists. There are options for fans to vote up content to make it more discoverable within the app, and there's also translation options. Artists are also able to share unique content with fans.

The Pledis Entertainment group was named as the next act to join the app during Big Hit Entertainment's company briefing on February 5, and Pledis has now issued a statement confirming the date.

Weverse currently has three artists: BTSTXT and GFriend. SEVENTEEN will be the first artist entirely unassociated with Big Hit Entertainment to join.

See Pledis Entertainment's statement below:

"Hello,

This is PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT.

SEVENTEEN’s global fan community ‘SEVENTEEN Weverse’ will open on March 17th (Tuesday) at 2PM.

‘SEVENTEEN Weverse’ is a fan community where SEVENTEEN and CARATs can come together to communicate, and enjoy various content. Further details on usage will be provided through Weverse at a later point.

Once again, we would like to thank CARATs for your generous love for SEVENTEEN. We look forward to your continued interest and support.

Thank you."

Will you be joining Weverse to get involved with SEVENTEEN's fan community?
